WELCOME TO LOOPWOOD

The way around is the way through.

  1. Pearl starts. Alternate turns on the 36 points. Select one of your pieces, then its destination.
  2. A quiet move is one step horizontally, vertically or diagonally to an empty neighboring point.
  3. To capture, travel along either colored circuit in either direction. You must pass through at least one outer loop before meeting an enemy piece. The route before it must be empty; pieces cannot be jumped.
  4. Stay on the same circuit at every crossing. You cannot hop between the inner and outer tracks. A capture ends on the opponent's point and removes that piece.
  5. Captures are optional. Win by capturing all rival pieces. A player with no legal move loses.

This local edition declares a draw on a third repetition of a board and turn, or after 80 quiet half-moves. The three teaching trails end when you capture the single terracotta target. They use the same engine as the full duel.

Controls

Click or tap your piece and then a green dot or terracotta ring. Keyboard: Tab to the board, use arrow keys between points, Enter or Space to select or move. “Show a path” suggests a move. Undo restores your last turn and Cedar's response. Change the table menu to load a teaching trail or a full duel.

Progress, completed trails and duel results save locally. “Start a fresh table” replaces the current game but keeps your fieldnotes.

Rule algorithms adapted from CrabAss / Surakarta-Online, AGPL-3.0-or-later. New interface, trace previews and local computer player. This is an independent static adaptation, without the original online matchmaking.
